How many visitors do hisamonomics actually get??

I always wonder if someone ever reads my posts here, simply because i rarely get comments on posts, not including the guest book entries. So i dont have any idea how many hits my blog actually gets daily. And i have decided to find out >>>>

Since you have taken the time and pain to come to this blog and read this post till here ( Now dont tell that you are not reading this because you are doing exactly that !! ;-) ), i request you to do me a small favour, just go to the comments link of this post and write me something there or to make things easier for you, you can instead scribble on the guestbook you see on the right side of this page.

Sooo nice of you(only if you have decided to comment). And since you have also decided to take the pain of commenting, i can suggest some things you can comment on....

How much do you like Hisamonomics? do you like its content? do you like to see any changes? do you like to see hisamonomics start thinking on new topics? and anything you like............

Pagerank getting me obsessed.

Ever since i chose Google Pagerank as my Seminar Topic, i'm somehow getting very close to it, or even call it obsession. And the latest development being my blog getting a PR1(Pagerank 1) and as a result it getting approved by Smorty(a site which pays you for posting Ads on your blog). And as of now i have got 5 Ad posts in total from Smorty and got them all approved, and as a result some dollar is waiting to hit my Paypal account.

What all these fuss has done is that it has got few of my friends interested in this sorta stuff (now who wouldnt when you can earn some goooooooood money). So i'm posting some tips that i came across or might have even tried while in pursuit for a PR for my blog.


+ One basic and obvious thing to do is get as many links to your blog/site from as many blog/site. You can do this manually by asking your friends to link from their blogs and by returning this favour. Services like Blogrolling should be utilised to its most.
And one service which is going to be the one stop for improving any site/blog PR is under development, Now guess who is the developer ;-).

+ I dont know if this tip actually works, just found it now and i havent tried it as of now. But nonetheless seems interesting >>

Make at least three pages on your site and link them as follows:
Page 1 >>>>>> Page 2
Page 2 >>>>>> Page 3
And this is the kicker
Page 3 >>>>>> Page 1

Google will give points to page 2 from page 1, then to page 3 from page 2, and then - if you link it back to page 1 - it starts all over again. I can't even count how many points this will end up giving you. Just don't abuse it too much - or the big sites will complain you are taking too much PR from them.


+ Google has got secrets and i dont know them simply because it is secrets, but i can have guesses and here is one >>>>>

Make sure you include at least one link to Google. They need quality traffic as well. Don't be greedy and hog it all to yourself. This can do wonders for your pages. Remember - Google may be going public soon - so the more traffic you send them the better.


+ Try to repeat the keyword as much times as possible and as much close to each other. This certainly improves your blog/site position for that particular keyword search if not your Pagerank.


These are some of the things that come to my mind now and when new ones come to my mind, i may or may not post it. It all depends on my MOOOOOOOOD.It seems i've got great Mooooood Swings according to a very believable source.

And what better time to start a tag of its own for Pagerank (since its getting hisamonomics engaged more often these days). let it be "PageRank".

Firefox quick search- One hella hack.

Its been pretty long since i started my love affair with Firefox and its quite difficult now to count the features that i just love with my fingers(leg fingers included). But if you ask me to pick one, i will have to bow down before Firefox quick search - because it is a crime and you are a criminal if you are using Firefox for sometime and aint aware of this hack. So you bloody criminal >>>> read on >>>>

Give it a try: in Firefox, key up to the location bar (Windows: Alt-D), type dict eschew and hit Enter. You'll be automagically transported to the Dictionary.com definition of "eschew" (to avoid, shun). That's a Quick search in action.
Firefox comes with the dict search pre-installed, along with the predictable google keyword search. But you can set up any number of Quick searches with keywords that map to useful search engines.

To set up a Quick search, go to any search engine page with an input box using Firefox, like say, the Flickr photo search page. To set up a Quick search for Flickr tags, right-click inside the tag search input box and choose "Add a Keyword for this Search..." like so:






Once you press the "Add" button, your Quick search is set up. Now, from the Firefox address bar, type flickrtag puppy to search Flickr tags for - you guessed it - puppies.
Likewise you can do it for any search box provided within any site.

Yes those were ads for which i get paid (pretty handsomely), which is coming my way as a result of a PR1 my blog managed to get. So expect posts like this here and there ( i have tagged Ad posts like that as 'sdA' and hope to change the font color of those ads once it get approved). But what it could do(on the positive side) is that it could make me post more regularly(otherwise lazy) since i plan to post one genuine hisamonomics post above every Ad.

Finally a Pagerank of 1...

And when i had finally lost hope of a pagerank for my blog....... Phew here comes a PR1 for my blog. Yup!! i just found that small green colour creeping out of its White mother on my Firefox status bar and then confirmed it on http://google-pagerank.atakmim.com/index.php which i think is the only site that gives you the right Google PR. And as a result you are supposed to see a green arrow indicating my pagerank just below the header of the blog. For folks wonderin what Google PR is all about.....
